We’re looking for seasoned operators in the Cleveland area who are passionate about people, pizza and being part of a winning team.
Entrepreneurs in the greater Cleveland area: This is the time to add pizza to your portfolio. Marco’s Pizza is looking to expand in this region by adding four more locations to our network of existing franchises.
Marco’s Pizza is one of the hottest franchise opportunities in the country right now. Our Average Unit Volume for 2020, according to our most recent Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), was $1,059,571.* We are a brand with over 1,000 stores and over 40 years in the pizza space, we are one of the fastest-growing franchises in the nation and have prime areas available.
Area Representatives Matt Baker, Ashley Jones and Mike Jaynes seek the right franchisee partners to help them develop and open new Marco’s franchises in the 30-year-old Cleveland market where the brand has great name recognition and room to expand.
“The brand invests in a national TV presence, which further boosts our customer awareness as a legacy market. The first Marco’s store opened in this area in 1989,” says Baker. “Consumers in Cleveland crave our high-quality products and new innovations like Build-Your-Own Pizza Bowls.”
The four prime markets they’ve identified for expansion are:
- Ohio City
- Brecksville/Broadview Heights
- Dover/New Philadelphia
- Fairlawn
“These are the top five growth markets in the area and there could be other locations in the Cleveland-Akron-Canton area that a Marco’s would do well in. We invite people to fill out the application form and start a conversation,” Baker says.
The Ideal Candidate
Marco’s ideally seeks experienced multi-unit owners or those with restaurant business ownership experience. Financial requirements include:
- At least $150,000 in liquid capital
- A minimum net worth of $450,000
- Credit score of 680 or more
The right candidate is passionate about Marco’s Pizza brand and is committed to serving the community.
“We’re looking for someone who wants to engage in the brand, grow the business, build great teams and make an impact on the community. Someone who is in there focused and dedicated on Marco’s Pizza.”
Support Cleveland Franchisees Can Count On
Ashley Jones works as Baker’s Operations Field Consultant, helping Baker support franchisees in the field. “We kind of share roles. When I need help, he helps, and vice versa, so can we both give support to the franchisees,” she says. “We’re always available for them, whether that’s a phone call for advice or answer questions like, ‘Hey, how do I fix my food costs?’.”
Jones and Baker visit the franchises in their market regularly to make sure each location is performing at the highest possible level and able to increase profitability. That means their franchisee support is available 24/7.
“We’re very passionate about Marco’s,” says Baker. “And, are committed to always be there to support area franchisees.”
Benefits of Owning a Marco’s Franchise
Jones and Baker note that, in addition to becoming part of one of the fastest-growing pizza franchises in the country, owning a Marco’s franchise also comes with other perks.
“You get to have and grow your own business,” Jones says. “You get to be the coach of a team. You’ll be developing your employees and helping them find their full potential.”
Baker adds, “You’ll also have the benefit of a strong franchisor, with proven systems in place.”
Jones says it’s nice to know that Marco’s has already paved the way. “There’s a path to follow. And if you stay on that path, you’ll have the tools you need to do well. All the structure is in place, all the checklists are in place. We have a very good system, and franchisees just need to know how to implement it and use it. And they’re in good hands.”
