One of the nation’s fastest-growing pizza franchises seeks to partner with entrepreneurs in the Baltimore and beyond
Baltimore-area residents will get a taste of our delicious Marco’s Pizza® this fall, with more locations planned in Maryland and beyond, as our fast-growing pizza franchise continues strategic expansion efforts through 2016 into next year.
Marco’s Pizza has two restaurant openings planned for the fall in Essex and Pasadena, which are being managed by Area Representative DJ Patel. The locations are scheduled to open their doors to pizza lovers in the Greater Baltimore area by mid-October. Once the first two locations are up and running, Marco’s will add six to 10 more locations in Maryland in 2017, DJ says. He’s working with several multi-unit franchisees to launch our brand in Maryland.
Marco’s Pizza, one of the nation’s fastest-growing pizza franchise chains, prides itself on making the best delivery pizza money can buy. Marco’s Pizza is handmade in the Italian tradition, using fresh, never-frozen cheeses, making the dough in stores daily and using only premium meats and vegetables. Founded in Toledo in 1978, Marco’s is the only Top 20 pizza chain founded by a native Italian. Our pizza franchise has enjoyed significant growth in recent years and is on pace to have 1,000 restaurants open by the end of 2017.
“Our Discovery Day numbers are up as more and more investors, including a lot of multi-unit franchisees, take note of Marco’s as a best-bet investment,” says Marco’s Chief Development Officer Cameron Cummins. “We are in the midst of an amazing growth period for our company, and it’s going to lead to more and more brand recognition and success for our entire franchise family.”
Baltimore area primed for pizza growth
As the AR for Marco’s in the Baltimore area, DJ seeks savvy entrepreneurs to help grow the brand across the state. Why is Maryland on our radar as we roll out 150 locations in 2016? According to Business Insider, Baltimore can now stand tall with U.S. cities such as New York, Chicago and Philadelphia as one of the 20 best cities on the planet. The greater Baltimore area is a thriving metropolitan region perfect for Marco’s expansion. Baltimore is home to Johns Hopkins Hospital, ranked consistently on the US News Honor Roll of Best Hospitals as one of the top three in the country. The state of Maryland’s excellent education system is a big draw for families. Maryland is home to some of the best universities in the nation, including Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland, Stevenson University, Loyola University and Towson University.
Our growing pizza franchise seeks passionate entrepreneurs in Maryland
Marco’s has prime locations available in Maryland for passionate entrepreneurs to start building their franchise restaurants in the metropolitan area surrounding Baltimore. “Our franchisees come from a remarkably wide variety of backgrounds. But there’s a common thread among our franchisees — passion for the Marco’s product. Many of them were Marco’s consumers first. They fell in love with our product,” Cameron says.
Marco’s Pizza is seeking quality franchisees who are committed to making their restaurants places where customers want to buy fresh, delectable pizza — welcoming, friendly individuals who remember customers’ names and are passionate about the Marco’s product. The investment required to start a Marco’s Pizza franchise is typically $350,000. The pizza franchise is looking for people who have a net worth of $350,000 and a minimum liquidity of $100,000.
Previous restaurant experience is not necessary to open a Marco’s Pizza. The company’s team of veteran pizza executives has experience growing brands and is always ready to help franchisees throughout their careers.
Marco’s Pizza franchise supports and trains franchise owners
In an eight-week training program, franchisees learn how to own and operate a Marco’s Pizza franchise through the company’s Marco’s University. In addition to teaching about the product and how it is made, the company helps franchisees learn to manage the business side of the franchise, including training staff, managing finances and incorporating savvy marketing strategies.
